SAFE Khatatba is a newly developed farming concept of 1-Hectare farms. It is a comprehensive and gated farming community with shared utilities, facilities, and services. Farms are a hybrid between Permaculte Eco-Systems, and Hydroponics for small space vertical farming systems. Each farm unit is approximately one Hectare, or10,000 square meters, that is fenced, and planted with a wide variety complementing and sustainable vegetation, thus creating a permaculture eco-system. Inclusive within each farm unit is a livestock paddocks with covered rest areas for animals, and small greenhouse for livestock feed production in a vertical Hydropronic system. A greenhouse is optionally provided for vertical fruit and vegetable production in a hydroponic system.
